I've been described as playful, quick-witted, and impulsive, yet equally meticulous, organized and particular. Orderly with an unruly streak. I have learned to embrace this dichotomy and see where it takes me.

I work primarily in two mediums: watercolor with ink, and metal assemblage with aerosol paint.

I recognize and enjoy the juxtaposition of these two mediums. When I work in watercolor, the process is typically quiet, calm and I focus on one piece at a time. The clean up consists of a few pickle jars of water and brushes. In contrast, creating my Foundry Flowers begins with searching for items to repurpose. Then a variety of tools, hardware, loud music, safety gear, and loads of paint, is required. I usually work on multiple pieces at a time since the process is much longer. And undoubtedly paint ends up everywhere.
